Dover Baptist Church (Salem)
Reverend William Kirk and his wife Marie
Temple Ewell Baptist Church
We have a relatively modern building used for a wide range of activities. The sanctuary is where we hold our Sunday morning and special services. We have two other halls, a crèche and various meeting rooms. Our evening services are generally held in either the large or small hall, allowing for a less formal setting.
A Crèche is available during the morning service to enable parents of young children to participate in the service.
There is a sound system in the Crèche for those who wish to stay with their children and hear the service.
Various age appropriate activities are organised for children and teenagers.
Communion is held fortnightly, alternating between morning and evening services.
Coffee is generally served after both services, allowing time for informal fellowship and chat.
Our Sunday morning service are recorded and copied to tape. These are then delivered to our members who are elderly or infirm and unable to attend church. We see this as an important aspect of our ministry, keeping those people in touch.
As well as a full weekly programme of Christian events, we are involved in various community activities and our buildings are used by a variety of organisations and groups. If you are involved in running an organization that benefits the community, and are interested in hiring one of our rooms on an occasional or regular basis, you are welcome to discuss the possibility with Wendy Hopper, our Bookings Secretary, on 01304 203165.
