TESTIMONY OF ANN WALTON

The Weigh-Inn was the vision of Reverend Nigel Booth. It was still just a vision when he was tragically killed in a car accident returning from a Christian holiday. After Nigel's death we decided that if it was 'of God' it would happen. One day at a time as a venture of faith we went forward. We were given a donation of £500 and in faith we ordered books and cards to that amount.

George and I came to Dover from Doncaster originally to live above Lisa's Loose Foods shop and help with the grandchildren.

I landed a fulltime Job which I firmly believe was a gift from God at age sixty. The income from it was initially used to establish ourselves in the (virtually derelict) flat above the shop, and later for the most part has been used as a subsidy for the shop. 

In July last year I was asked when I would be finishing work to be in the shop more. Then, following a challenge to "do it in faith", the main focus of my prayer was "When do you want me to give it up Lord"?  That very day a situation arose at work which left me no alternative but to give notice and terminate my employment. My action has been confirmed as of The Lord  in a number of ways, the most exciting being on Thursday 22nd July 2004 when  we had ANGELS IN THE SHOP and since my final pay cheque the income from the shop has increased by an average equal to the amount which I was earning.

We have a way to go but Got has blessed us immensely over the last two years. We are now waiting on God to reveal His will as to the way forward. We are short of space and would require funding if were to expand into the shop next door which is empty at present.
